"Cycling has always been my weakest discipline but since using the CompuTrainer through the off season last year I've been able to come off the bike in the top 2 in my AG at all this years races.

The combination of Watts, Cadence, HR and the computer pacer are all great tools and really helped me stay motivated and hit my targets in the hardest sessions".
- Dion Harrison, UK, Elite Age Grouper

"Combining regular CompuTrainer sessions, alongside my outdoor sessions has really pushed my cycling on to another level.

CompuTrainer has helped me on my way to setting bike course records at both the UK and St Croix 70.3 races, and also posting the fastest bike splits by over 2 mins at the first two races in the prestigious LifeTime Fitness series in the US."
- Julie Dibens, UK, Pro Triathlete

"Riding my CompuTrainer allows me to gauge my progress on certain key workouts such as my set of 2 x >20 km time trials. Week to week, I can measure and compare my wattage and heart rate in a setting which is constant and not effected by wind or terrain. I can visibly measure my recovery from racing and training and my progress toward the next race. I call it my "quality control workout". Before an Ironman race one of my key race prep workouts is a 5 hr CompuTrainer ride with 3 hours at 200 watts"
- Lisa Bentley, Canada, 11 Time Ironman Champion

"I've had a CompuTrainer for 6 years now and with the information and hours that I have logged using it, it has made my cycling stronger and faster. With all the Ironman Courses that you can download, you can train on the course without even being in the same country! This is the ultimate training tool"
- Bryan Rhodes, New Zealand, 4 Time Ironman Champion

Totally Unsolicited:
I wanted to thank you again for your support & help with CompuTrainer. It is an amazing training tool that has enabled me to constantly improve my cycling technique, efficiency & ulitmately...speed. I had a good solid ride in Wisconsin keeping my pedal stroke smooth with a controlled HR while pulling away from the rest of the field. Although my bike time was slightly slower than last year, I was by myself and chose to ease up slightly the last 20-30 miles to have a stronger run. It is good to have a bike course that suits my strength (rolling hills).  9/19/04

Dion Harrison - My CompuTrainer Experience

Dion Harrison, UK, Elite Age Grouper and CompuTrainer Sponsored Athlete In Nov. 2007 Dion placed 3rd in the 25-29 AG at the 70.3 world championships in Clearwater, Florida.

Since then he's been using his CompuTrainer at least twice per week. Below is a table showing his improvements since Jan 08:

Dion Harrison CompuTrainer Improvement
"Looking at it, ave watts have increased by 11%, which translates to 1.2kph increase.  Peak watts is a lot more under control, cadence has increased whilst HR has fallen slightly."

Since then in the 25-29AG Dion has finished 2nd at St Croix (qualifying for Hawaii in the process), 6th Antwerp 70.3 and last weekend he won the age group race at London Triathlon.

Dion said about his Computrainer...

"Cycling has always been my weakest discipline but since using the CompuTrainer through the off season last year I've been able to come off the bike in the top 2 in my AG at all this years races.

The CompuTrainer & Spin Scan has helped me develop a more constant and balanced power output and I'm hoping I can use this knowledge to curb my 'enthusiasm' during the early stages of the Kona bike course!

During the winter my tempo & interval session each week were really motivational and enabled me to continually monitor progress and clearly see improvements. Week on week I could feel myself getting stronger and more efficient on the bike. Also, in bad weather, I would happily jump on the CompuTrainer and ride an Ironman 70.3 course and these sessions, riding at set watts, are a fantastic gauge of where I'm at with my training and can be benchmarked against actual 70.3 races I've done.

The combination of Watts, Cadence, HR and the computer pacer are all great tools and really helped me stay motivated and hit my targets in the hardest sessions. My one regret is that I've only used it once a week though the summer. I won't make that mistake next year! Can't wait to improve my cycling again this winter!"
